Man arrested in Christmas Day murder

HOUSTON Earl Tyrone Jackson, 35, has been charged with murdering Moniek Jenii George. George, 30, was found dead in her apartment in the 8800 block of Gustine at about 3:30pm on Friday, December 25. She suffered multiple stab wounds and blunt force trauma.

Family members had become concerned after their efforts to reach George failed. They went to her apartment to check on her and found her dead.

Police say Jackson was questioned in the murder, and subsequently was arrested on December 28 and charged with her death. They have not released any information regarding a possible motive in the killing.
