HPD officer shot during drug raid

A Houston police officer is alive because of his bullet-proof vest. The officer was hit during a drug raid at a house on Farrell near Airline in northeast Houston. Narcotics and tactical teams were executing a search warrant, when someone inside the house opened fire. The officer was hit, but his vest stopped the bullet. The 22 year veteran with HPD didn't even have to go to the hospital.

The six people inside the house, including two teenage boys, were all arrested after a chaotic scene, in which three of the suspects tried to escape by jumping through a window.
