School district officials said Thursday that they've placed Kimball High School principal Danny Stigers and assistant principal Anthony Jefferson on paid leave.
Neither Stigers nor Jefferson could be reached for comment by The Associated Press. Jefferson has denied the assault allegations.
Corey's mom says her 16-year-old son had been assigned to the district's alternative school for fighting and should not have been at Kimball that day. Still, she said he didn't deserve to be attacked by principals.
The district is investigating the incident, which was witnessed by others.
