Boy accused of killing mom's boyfriend

HOUSTON The victim has been identified as 33-year-old Juan Contreras. Investigators say Contreras went to his girlfriend's apartment on Alderson near Freeport in east Harris County Saturday morning to retrieve some of his belongings. He and his girlfriend's young son reportedly got into an argument.

"They began to fight inside the apartment," said Sgt. Curtis Brown with the Harris County Sheriff's Office. "The victim was severely stabbed, and he was pronounced DOA at the hospital."

Contreras was stabbed once in the stomach. Investigators the victim had gotten into a fight Friday night with the teen's mother and deputies are looking into whether that led up to the stabbing.
