Two Dickens events changed due to weather

GALVESTON, TX The Dickens Handbell Concerts scheduled for Friday night at 5:30pm, 7pm and 8:30pm at St. Joseph's Church Museum have all been cancelled after the choirs did not travel to Galveston due to the inclement weather. All ticket holders will be issued full refunds.

The Traditional Dickens Feast scheduled for Friday night at 7pm is being moved from Garten Verein to the ballroom at Ashton Villa, 2328 Broadway because of heating problem at the old location. The foundation is contacting all ticket holders by phone about the change and personnel will be at Garten Verein to notify any guests who show up about the change in venue.

The rest of the Dickens on The Strand festival plans remain on schedule. Festival times are 10am to 7pm Saturday and 10an to 6pm Sunday. For more information, click here to visit dickensonthestrand.org.
