Authoriries say alcohol is what likely caused a deadly car crash in north Harris County. Police say around midnight, a driver failed to yield when he attempted to turn left from Aldine Westfield near Greenbriar. A woman driving a PT Cruiser couldn't stop in time and slammed head-on into the car, killing the passenger instantly.

The woman was taken to the hospital with minor injuries. The driver, who failed to yield, also failed a sobriety test. He now faces intoxication manslaughter charges.
