Where are the best Black Friday deals?

HOUSTON At J.C. Penney, the Black Friday deals are called 'Big Buys' and that means big savings, especially in the jewelry department, where some pieces are up to 70 percent off. All day on Friday, you can choose a diamond heart or cross pendant, a diamond ring or hoop earrings. Each piece costs $49.88. The original price is $132.99.

From 4am until 1pm, certain tennis bracelets will be priced at $79.99. The retail price is $226. And if you are wondering what the inventory is like, JC Penney store manager Nelson Whittington says they have hundreds of pieces of jewelry.

"In gold and diamonds, you name it, we got it," he said.

And at JC Penney, you can actually pre-buy your jewelry now at the Black Friday sale price and pick it up anytime after Friday.

"We are going to save our customers a lot of hassles they may have to go through at standing at the counter," said Whittington.

Over at Target, they're unleashing an amazing early bird deal -- a 32-inch television for $246 and scooters for $17.

Be warned, though. Target isn't telling us how many items they have in stock, but the ad says limited quantities.

Over at Wal-Mart, the company is offering deep discounts on electronics from 5am until 11am only. A 42-inch plasma TV is $448. A Blue Ray disc player, $78 and an HP laptop goes for $298.

Wal-Mart's ad also says these deals are offered while supplies last and no rain checks are allowed. For some people, though, it's worth it to take a chance.

"The economy is so bad you have to take advantage of every sale you can get these days," said shopper Peggy Stark.

Over at Toys R Us, the company is very open to discussing limited quantities. In fact, the store manager says an XBox 360 bundle package with three games and travel case is priced at $229. The catch is each Toys R Us store will carry about ten sets. But the store is carrying a hearty supply of the popular "Fur" Real Pony for $99.99. The regular price is $299.99.

More stores will be open on Thanksgiving Day. For some, it's the first time. Most Wal-Mart stores will open at 6am Thursday or earlier. Promotional deals, however, will not be available until Friday morning.

Many Old Navy stores will also open their doors Thursday from noon to 5pm. Sweaters that usually sell for $30 will go for $15. Parents take note. Most Toys R Us stores will open at midnight Friday. Dozens of unadvertised door busters will be available between midnight and 1pm. And if you're hungry for something other than turkey, most TGI Fridays will be open on Thanksgiving from 4 until 11pm.
