The Harris County District Attorney's office says it received nearly $200,000 from bad check writers during last month's hot check amnesty program. The DA's check fraud division contacted 500 offenders with notices to pay up or face criminal charges. Almost 400 people took advantage of the program to clear their names. Arrest warrants have now been issued for those who didn't.
