Another suspicious fire hits Heights area

November 17, 2009 2:07:03 PM PST
A serial arsonist may be widening his or her target area in the Heights. The 18th suspicious fire happened around 11pm at a vacant home on West 23rd and Bevis. The first fires were on West 11th and Ashland, and ever since the suspected firebug has been hitting neighborhoods further and further away.

An arson team spent most of the morning looking for clues at the latest burned house. Sources say the MO appears to be similar as the other 17 fires that burned usually vacant homes since August 11th.

We're told one person was questioned at the scene of the latest fire. But that man riding a bike was released.
