A possible robbery attempt in Missouri City ends with a suspect rushed to a hospital and police searching for more suspects. That shooting happened this afternoon at a home on Glenwild near Hickory Glen. Police say three men in a gold Toyota Avalon apparently pulled up on the homeowner's son, who was working on his car in the driveway. They jumped out with a rifle, forcing the 20-year-old inside and demanding money. Once inside, the 20-year-old got his hands on a pistol.

"At this point the homeowner's son turned the tables on our suspects here and the homeowner's son grabbed a pistol and started shooting at our suspects," explained Captain John Bailey with the Missouri City Police Department. "He shot one of the suspects multiple times inside the residence, which is when he came out of the residence, and (there's a bloodstain) where he fell into the driveway."

The other two suspects fled in the gold Toyota Avalon, believed to be a model year 1998 to 2000. The third suspect is listed in very critical condition.
