Freeport closes flood gate for high tides
FREEPORT, TX Forecasters from the National Weather Service say that three to four foot tides made their way ashore Sunday and early this morning. Though fall and spring high tides are fairly common, they are concerned that low lying areas that sustained damage from Hurricane Ike might be more vulnerable than usual.
