Pedestrian fatally struck on North Freeway

HOUSTON The driver was on the North Freeway near Crosstimbers when the accident occurred around 1am. A pedestrian apparently tried to cross the freeway and darted in front of the car. The driver did stop and told authorities that he didn't see the pedestrian in time. The pedestrian died on the scene.

The accident caused a backup on the North Freeway. That slowdown caused a fender bender between an SUV and a trailer.
