Man wanted for 1999 killing

October 28, 2009 2:45:54 PM PDT
This Friday marks 10 years since the brutal murder of a 17-year-old girl, by three people she thought were her friends. One of Felicia's Ruiz's suspected killers is still at large. Ruiz was stabbed to death after going to a Halloween party on October 30, 1999. Her body was found dumped in a field in northwest Houston. Two of Ruiz's killers are serving prison sentences but the third suspect, Jesus Salazar, has been on the run since the murder. Police have released a sketch of what Salazar may look like today.

Ruiz's parents say they'll never stop looking for Salazar.

Felicia's mother Carrie Ruiz said, "We've been fighting a hard and long fight for the last 10 years, trying to find Jesus Salazar. That's one thing we promised our daughter, that we would never quit until all that took her away from us were behind bars."

If you can help police find him, you're asked to call Crime Stoppers at 713-222-TIPS.
