Apparent street race ends in serious crash

HOUSTON Investigators say two cars were racing along West T.C. Jester near Hialeah late last night. A Cadillac bumped a curb, lost control, spun around, hit a tree and was nearly cut in half. Rescuers had to pry the driver out of the car.

An ambulance rushed him to the hospital. He is listed as stable.
