Police: Two kids found in locked in closet

HOUSTON Police responded to a burglary call at a home on Marionwood near Chimney Rock overnight. Officers arrived to find several men running into the abandoned home. When they searched the home, the officers found 16 illegal immigrants, including a seven and eight-year-old child.

"They had not been fed or had anything to eat or drink for three days," said Sgt. Brian Harris with the Houston Police Department. "The patrol officers, once they settled and identified the good guys from the bad guys, the first thing they did was get the people, out of their own funds, got them some food."

Several people were arrested on suspicion of human smuggling. They, along with the immigrants, are being held at the ICE detention center.
