Mixed reaction to Musharraf's Houston visit

Former Pakistani President Pervez Musharraf was in town yesterday and his visit brought some spirited reactions. While some Pakistani locals said he promoted the war on terror, others claim he was against it.

"We believe 80 percent of these terrorists came from Pakistan soil. These are the people supported by the Pakistani military," said Musharraf protestor Abdul Blouch.

"If that was the case, he would not have lead for nine years at the forefront of the war against terror, and going against the Taliban and being able successfully to push them back to wherever it was they had been coming from," countered supporter Kayhan Warsi.

Musharraf was president from 1999 to 2008.
