Police: Officer kills knife-wielding man

HOUSTON It happened near Winkler and Howard. The incident started when the man slashed a woman with a knife and cut a neighbor who tried to intervene. When police arrived, the man came after an officer with the knife. The officer shot and killed him.

The neighbor died at the scene. The female victim is in serious condition at Ben Taub Hospital.
