Police: Nearly $2M worth of marijuana seized

Nearly two million dollars worth of marijuana was seized from a property in Brazoria County Wednesday, say investigators.It happened at a property along County Road 48 North in Rosharon after the Brazoria County Sheriff's Office narcotics unit received a tip about a large indoor marijuana grow. Investigators say the property owner allowed them onto the property.

On the property was a home, a business and a barn. Inside the barn, investigators say they saw a sophisticated grow with approximately 1,200 marijuana plants. They say the marijuana has with a street value of around $1.94 million.

Investigators say several shotguns and rifles were also seized from the property, along with a sub zero refrigerator, approximately 35 cultivation lamps, a large porta cool evaporator and approximately $10,000 in cash.

No arrests have been made so far. We'll have more on this story beginning today on Eyewitness News beginning at 4pm.
