October 8, 2009 5:30:05 AM PDT
A 25-mile police chase from Conroe to north Houston overnight, ended on two flat tires. It started about 2am at an apartment complex in Conroe, where police say a couple of men were driving a stolen truck and trying to steal another vehicle. It lasted an hour down the North Freeway.

The two suspected car thieves were arrested after the driver finally crashed just off the North Beltway. The truck had two flat tires and the driver had been riding the rims for a couple of miles.

"They just tried to keep their distance. They tried to keep out in front of us. They never tried to attempt to strike any of the vehicles or a police car," said Sgt. Michael Stowe with the Conroe Police Department.

Officers are now trying to track down the owner of that stolen truck.
