Soliders get big send-off

HOUSTON Members of the First Battle Training Brigade were honored with a deployment party Saturday afternoon. The group Project Love put on the event. Congressman Pete Olson was also there to thank the men and women for their service.

On Sunday, 900 soldiers with the 72nd Infantry Brigade Combat Team will march from the George R. Brown Convention Center to Minute Maid Park in a parade, gearing up for a nine-month mission in Iraq.
