Woman nearly kidnapped during morning walk

HOUSTON On Wednesday September 23, a woman left for her morning walk around 7:25am in northwest Houston. At around 7:40am while she was in the 1800 block of Meadow Edge near Hickory Twig Way, she was reportedly approached from behind by a Hispanic male.

Authorities say he grabbed her by her shoulders and hair and attempted to force her into a waiting white cargo van with its sliding door open. The victim kept fighting off the suspect and she was finally able to free herself. She ran to a nearby apartment complex where she called the police.

The suspect is described as a 20 to 30 year old Hispanic male. He is 5'6" to 5'8" tall with a thin build. He has medium length dark hair that fell over his right eye. He was wearing a white shirt, tan pants and dirty brown boots. The van is a dirty white cargo van with a sliding door. The make and model are unknown.
