Federal agents and local officers have arrested 20 people in a three-day operation targeting gang members in the West Texas town of Big Spring. The crackdown by Immigration and Customs Enforcement, Howard County Sheriff's Office and Big Spring police ended Wednesday.

ICE said Thursday that all of those arrested are U.S. citizens who live in Big Spring. Most are affiliated with the Aryan Brotherhood, Tango Blast, Mexican Mafia and Bloods.

ICE's National Gang Unit identifies street gangs, and tracks their criminal activities and international movements. As part of "Operation Community Shield," the unit has arrested some 14,500 gang members and associates since 2005.
