September 30, 2009 8:50:01 AM PDT
A school district in eastern Minnesota is sending all 3,500 students home early following reports of a number of suspicious packages left around the city of Princeton, including at the high school. The Princeton Union-Eagle reported that suspicious packages also were found Wednesday morning at the public utility commission office and the post office.

The school district said on its Web site that all schools -- a high school, a middle school and two elementary schools -- were being closed as a precautionary measure.

Princeton is about 50 miles north of Minneapolis.
