Security beefed up at school following fights

HOUSTON The school along Ella Boulevard was put into lockdown yesterday after half a dozen students were involved at least two separate fights. Six students were arrested and removed from campus by Spring ISD police officers.

Students tell Eyewitness News us at least one fight started as a food fight in the cafeteria at lunch.

"A girl actually hit the boy and he fell down the steps and they put us on lockdown," said 10th grader Josh Smart.

No students or officers were injured in the fights. The six students arrested will be charged with Class C misdemeanors.
