Man charged in hit and run wreck

HOUSTON Erasmo Estaban Lanza, 56, is charged with two counts of intoxicated assault and one count of reckless injury to a child. On Friday, Lanza was allegedly driving his truck in north Houston when he hit the 27-year-old woman and her three-year-old son. Police believe Lanza was under the influence of alcohol at the time of the crash.

Both victims remain at Memorial Hermann Hospital.
