Man shot while leaving friend's apartment

HOUSTON It happened around 1:30am on Clarewood at Hillcroft. The man had just left a friend's place at the Sterling Point apartments when shots were fired. Police say three men were seen running from the complex but right now they don't know if they are suspects.

The victim is in critical condition with possible brain damage at Ben Taub Hospital.
