The Galveston County Housing Authority will vote Wednesday on a plan to build new homes for low-income senior citizens. The housing authority will hold a special meeting to vote on a nearly $2.8 project to build 40 new homes. The project would double the number of homes for senior citizens at the Oaks II complex. If approved, groundbreaking on the project would happen Thursday.
