Dozens of students camped out overnight outside the UH Athletics ticket office for the tickets that went on sale at 8am Monday morning. Students say the Cougars' unexpected 45-35 win over perennial power Oklahoma State two weeks ago is causing a lot of excitement on campus. Now fans want to see how the Coogs will fare against the Red Raiders this weekend.
"I think mostly people are really excited because ESPN is going to be there," said Cougars' fan Bianca Delavega.
Another student and fan, Christina Rodriguez, said, "It's a big deal for U of H and the football team and you know they are getting a lot more attention. It helps their reputation and hopefully it's a start to bigger and better things."
The Cougars battle the Red Raiders at 8:15pm Saturday night on ESPN2.
