Houstonians looking for jobs spoke to dozens of prospective employers at a massive job fair Saturday. The event was organized by Congresswoman Sheila Jackson Lee and was similar to one she held in July. That fair had a much larger than expected turnout and left hundreds of frustrated job seekers standing in the heat.

Saturday's event was at the George R. Brown Convention Center with plenty of space and more employers.

"We have diversified," said Jackson Lee. "We have some online, we have some direct hires, we have some like the city of Houston, explaining what the process is."

"I'm grateful," said job seeker Joy Bendslev. "Unemployment is running out, the phone bill is due. I got computer classes."

Besides recruiters, the fair also provided seminars on networking and internet skills. Jackson Lee said the job fair could become an annual event.
