Two young men found shot to death

HOUSTON It happened around 9:30am on Glenmont at Rampart. Homicide investigators are on the scene gathering facts and possible witnesses.

Authorities say the shooting victims are both Hispanic males believed to be in their 20s. Their bodies were discovered at the bottom of the stairwell at the apartment complex.

Authorities say the two suspects are young, one at least 16, the other 18. According to investigators, one suspect had a shaved head and the other had shoulder length black hair. The suspects apparently confronted the two victims and opened fire after they had just left an apartment and were walking down the stairs. They were shot multiple times.

Police think one of the suspects may have been shot. Authorities says it's unclear if the victims had any weapons.

A woman believed to be the mother of one of the victims arrived and nearly collapsed when she heard the news. A friend of one of the victims told Eyewitness News that the mother lives at the apartment complex and her son would often stay there.

That friend also told Eyewitness News that one of the victims is 22 years old and works as a maintenance worker perhaps at the complex. Authorities are trying to confirm that information.

Police questioned at least four witnesses at the scene.

The victims have not been identified.
