Men accused of ambushing HPD officer

HOUSTON Early this morning, an officer went to the Pelican Bay apartments on Bellaire and Rampart on a disturbance call. When he stepped inside, a man locked the door, and several men tried to hold him down.

He managed to reach his radio to call for help. Multiple police cars arrived and stormed the apartment. Several men were hit with a Taser. The officer is OK.
