Cable tech accused of indecency with child

HOUSTON Russell Curtis Arcemont was arrested Friday morning in Fort Bend County by investigators with the HCSO's Gulf Coast Task Force.

On August 21, Arcemont, a Comcast employee, allegedly inappropriately touched the five-year-old girl while on a service call to her family's home. The child reportedly told her mother later that day that "the TV man" had touched her inappropriately while in the home. The mother made a report with the Harris County Sheriff's Office. Investigators then contacted the suspect's employer and obtained information about him.

The suspect was arrested at his residence in Fort Bend County on two counts of indecency with a child.

Harris County Sheriff's Office investigators, who took a statement from Arcemont, are investigating whether there are other alleged victims of the suspect.

Comcast issued the following statement:

"We were shocked and appalled to learn of these very serious allegations and have since terminated the employee. We are taking this very seriously and fully cooperating with local authorities in their investigation. The safety of our customers and the general public is our top priority."

Anyone with additional information regarding the suspect or other possible victims is asked to call the HCSO's Crimes Against Children unit at 713-529-4216.
