Woman stabbed while waiting for bus

HOUSTON The attack happened around 2pm Thursday on North Main. A 37-year-old woman was sitting at the bus stop when, according to police, Jena Patterson Larue, 40, walked up and began assaulting her for no apparent reason. The victim fought back, but Larue allegedly pulled a knife out of her purse and stabbed the victim twice in the torso and once in the hand.

While witnesses went to aid the victim, Larue remained at the location until police arrived. She was arrested and charged with aggravated assault with a deadly weapon.

The victim was transported to Ben Taub Hospital in serious condition. Her identity has not been released.
