Hit and run driver slams into undercover officer

HOUSTON The officer was driving westbound on Tidwell from Highway 290 when the driver of a pickup truck sideswiped the undercover officer's vehicle. That truck then hit a tree, but the suspect managed to drive off, going the wrong direction down a road.

He then tried to hide at an apartment complex, but police tracked him down and arrested him. The officer was not hurt.
