Ike-damaged HPD storefront reopens

HOUSTON The storefront sits in an apartment complex along Telephone Road near Peekskill. Police and volunteers welcomed area residents who stopped by to visit. The remodeled storefront sat closed for 10 months and residents are glad it's open.

The storefront operates with two Houston police officers, two police service officers and civilian volunteers. Local civic clubs donated some of the new furniture to the storefront.
