Teen killed in gym awning collapse

BRIDGEPORT, TX The awning apparently fell from outside the Club Barbells Gym and injured the two teens on Tuesday, Dallas television station KTVT reported. Names of the victims have not been released.

Bridgeport police spokeswoman Amber Fogelman told the station that one teen was airlifted to John Peter Smith Hospital in Fort Worth.

Authorities do not believe weather was a factor in the collapse. Bridgeport is located about 45 miles northwest of Fort Worth.
