According to police, the driver was riding on the rims of the passenger front and back tires when he slammed into the side of the train. It doesn't appear the driver braked.
The car burst into flames. Police believe the driver was killed on impact with the train. Officers are investigating the possibility that the crash may have been drug or alcohol related. There were no other passengers in the car.
