Ad man's murderer denied bond

HOUSTON Michael DeLoach is accused of breaking into a house and killing the homeowner. Ad man Brett Elliot was found dead inside his burning townhome last March. He had been bludgeoned to death.

Police said in July they had DNA evidence from the scene linking DeLoach to the burglary. The charges were upgraded to murder Monday.
