A vacant elementary school caught fire last night in east Houston. Houston firefighters arrived at Bruce Elementary around 11pm Friday to find heavy flames coming from the building. They made a fast attack and managed to control the blaze, but it did do major damage to the building.

The elementary school was shut down a while ago and was not being used. Arson is investigating the cause of the fire.
