Shot fired during Pearland bank robbery

PEARLAND, TX It happened a few minutes before 10am at the Wells Fargo Bank at 10,116 Broadway. The suspect fired a gun into the ceiling and demanded everyone lie on the ground.

Police say he then climbed over the counter and had tellers pull money and put it in a large black trash bag. The suspect then fled on foot, traveling east, with approximately $37,000 in cash.

The suspect is approximately 5'7" to 5'10" tall. He is slender build, wearing a dark blue long sleeve shirt, blue jeans, tan shoes, a dark ball cap, and sunglasses and covered his face with a bandana. Anyone having information is asked to call the Brazoria County Sheriff's Office at 281-756-2208 or Brazoria County Crime Stoppers at 1-800-460-2222.
