Officer run over after bank heist

SAN ANTONIO, TX Authorities say the officer was hospitalized Tuesday after his leg was run over while he tried to pull the keys out of the suspected getaway vehicle. Police Chief William McManus says the officer managed to fire two shots after being dragged alongside the getaway car.

McManus says the officer's injuries aren't thought to be life-threatening. He also says the suspect was wounded in the arm by the officer's gunshots.

Neither the names of the officer or suspect were immediately released.

Police say the incident happened after someone robbed the drive-through teller at a San Antonio Credit Union branch in southwestern San Antonio with the threat of a grenade.
