Thieves take $65 million from jewelry store

LONDON, England Police say two well-dressed men walked into Graff Diamonds' flagship store on Thursday and threatened staff with handguns before making off with 43 pieces of jewelry including rings, bracelets, necklaces and watches. No one was injured.

The two escaped in a blue BMW which they abandoned a few blocks away for a second getaway car.

British media including the BBC and the The Times and The Daily Telegraph newspapers say the theft was Britain's biggest jewel heist, after a 2003 robbery that cost the same store 23 million pounds.

Police could not immediately confirm the reports.
