Charity founder to get high honor

DALLAS, TX Brinker, 62, joins tennis legend Billie Jean King, civil rights leader Rev. Joseph Lowery who helped organize the Montgomery bus boycott and retired Archbishop Desmond Tutu of South Africa and 12 others. They will receive the medals at a White House ceremony Wednesday.

The medals, representing the nation's highest honor for a civilian, are the first to be awarded by Obama.
