Boil order notice issued in west Galveston

GALVESTON, TX The boil water notice is in effect for all areas west of 81st Street. City officials say water should be back, but the boil water notice will remain in effect as a precaution for the next 48 hours or until the city withdraws the notice. We'll keep you updated.

The disruption is the result of a fire that damaged an electrical circuit that powers the city of Galveston's pump station.
