If you're dying to get rid of that old analog TV or dusty computer just sitting around the house, head to east Houston this weekend.Harris County Precinct 2 is hosting a home electronics recycling drive tomorrow. It runs from 9am until 1pm at the Jacinto City Fire Department on Mercury.

Keep in mind, only TVs and computer monitors will be accepted. This event is to help all of you we've been hearing from who don't know what to do with their old TVs that don't get digital. They will only collect electronics used in your home at this event.

Tips on Transporting TV'S and Monitors:

  • Use the original box to repack if you still have it.
  • If the television or monitor has a glass screen, wrap a towel or blanket around it to prevent breakage.
  • Ask for help if carrying the set or monitor if it is bulky or too heavy to carry conveniently.
  • Wrap the power cord and tie or tape it to prevent tripping while you are carrying it.
