Suspect knocked down by woman

HOUSTON On Sunday July 26 around 9:15pm a Hispanic male walked into Kroger's and approached two people at the cash register. The suspect shoved one of the victims out of his way and demanded money from the cashier.

The suspect tried running out of the store with the cash drawer but a 68-year-old security officer struck him with her fist in an attempt to stop the robbery. The suspect fell to the ground and dropped the cash drawer. He was able to grab some of the money before he fled the store.

The suspect is described as a 17 to 20 year old Hispanic male. He was around 5'8" tall and weighs around 185 pounds. He was wearing a dark shirt and jeans.

Crime Stoppers will pay up to $5,000 for any information called in to the 713-222-8477 (TIPS) hotline or submitted online at www.crime-stoppers.org that leads to the identification, arrest and/or charging of the suspect in this case. All tipsters remain anonymous.
