Residents won't lose homes over debt

HOUSTON Electricity was set to be shut off at the Spanish Village Apartments in southeast Houston since tenants were $50,000 behind in payments. The complex is owned by the tenants, and the board overseeing the money fell behind after Hurricane Ike. The board president says they worked out a deal with the city to keep the lights on and are getting help dealing with their debts.
