Man accused of assaulting investigator

FT. BEND COUNTY, TX Early Wednesday morning, Investigator Aramis Gonzales with the department's Fugitive Apprehension Unit was serving a warrant in Houston on Ryan Tyler Nisbett, 24, who was wanted for assault and possession of a controlled substance.

When Gonzales attempted to apprehend Nisbett, the suspect reportedly resisted arrest and fled. During the incident, Gonzales reportedly sustained serious injuries and contacted the Houston Police Department for assistance.

Later that same day, Nisbett was found in the 9,000 block of Boone Road in Houston and taken into custody, but not without reportedly resisting arrest again. He was taken to the Ft. Bend County Jail and remains in custody without bond. He'll now face an additional charge of aggravated assault of a peace office.

As for Gonzales, he was transported to Southwest Memorial Hospital, where he's being treated for non life-threatening injuries and will have to undergo surgery.
