Eversole has no plans to resign

Jerry Eversole tells 13 Undercover he has no plans to resign, just days after the Harris County Commissioner was slapped with the biggest fine the Texas Ethics Commission has ever given out. The fine was $75,000. Eversole also paid back $41,000 of his own money amidst evidence he misused campaign funds, including a $10,000 vacation to Florida.

"They didn't convict me of stealing any money. They didn't convict me of anything other than sloppy record keeping. That's it. Why should I resign over that?" asked Eversole. "You know why they gave me a reasonable fine of $75,000? Because I have enough money in my campaign to pay for it."

Eversole's latest campaign report shows he had $1.8 million in campaign cash. The embattled commissioner is also under FBI investigation.
