Ex radio host gets probation in assault case

FT. WORTH, TX Martin, 48, was placed on two years deferred adjudication probation for assault with bodily injury on a family member. The 27-year-old woman, who had been living in Martin's Southlake home for three years, accused the radio host of pulling her hair, pushing her against the wall and kicking her on the thigh.

Martin was ordered to pay a $1,000 fine, take battering intervention counseling and to have no "harmful or injurious contact" with the woman, according to the Fort Worth Star-Telegram.

Martin was the host of the "Russ Martin Show" on KLIF/"Live 105.3" FM.
